About the CollegeThis special program prepares participants to become private English teachers for individuals and small groups in private settings. It's designed for teaching school students of all levels as well as for adults. Participants learn to work with learners of varying profiles, abilities and needs, with particular emphasis on teaching learners with special educational needs. The program also familiarizes participants with issues of managing a small business that offers private English lessons.

The Israeli National English Curriculum Understand the English language proficiency standards required for students in Israel.

Setting Up Your Home Business: Learn how to establish a successful small business offering private English lessons from home.
The course takes place on Zoom.
We record the classes so, if occasionally you are unable to participate in a class or for review, you can watch the recording.
Private eaching practice with a student of your choice can be in person or online.
Duration: Two semesters, 6&8 academic hours per week, Thursdays: fall 8:30 –13:45, spring 8:30-15:30
This course is designed for native speakers of English or for Israelis with a high level of proficiency in English who are interested in developing or strengthening their professional skills in teaching English to individuals and small groups. No previous English teaching experience is required; no age limitation.
English teachers will receive 60 hours of gmul credit from the Ministry of Education for completing the program.
This course qualifies for vocational retraining subsidy from the Ministry of Absorption, for eligible new immigrants, or from the Lishkat Hataasuka, for eligible workers.
