The Hebrew Language Tutors Training Program will provide the learners with practical tools needed for teaching Hebrew as a second language, to kids and to adults as well.
This program includes pre-designed lesson plans, which were adapted also to online learning.
The program is suitable especially for those who wa nt to specialize in teaching Hebrew as a second language in schools, or alternatively - those who want to be a private Hebrew teachers and tutors.
The study program is based on course materials that were developed by Dr. Yehudit Golan Ben Uri – specialist in Teaching Hebrew as a Second Language.
Following the successful completion of the foundation course, students will be able to participate in more advance training courses, including teaching Hebrew to speakers of languages other than Arabic.

The course is designed for individuals who are interested in teaching Arabic speakers or olim in both formal and non-formal educational frameworks, as well as in small or large groups.
Online (via Zoom), including teaching practice.
120 hours (precise days and hours vary).
The course covers fundamental topics in Hebrew grammar, Hebrew teaching didactics; in addition, the course offers lesson observations and mentored teaching practice.
Course material is based on the book series "אל העברית" (El Haivrit), Power Point presentations, and modular lesson plans.
Bachelor's degree, a good knowledge of Hebrew and a personal interview.
Priority will be given to candidates whose previous degrees are in the field of Hebrew Letters and/or Literature.
High speed internet connection, computer, quiet learning environment, microphone, and camera.
Successful completion of the program will lead to a certificate from the David Yellin College of Education.
