Since its establishment in 2009, the Text and Publishing Studies program at David Yellin Academic College in Jerusalem has enabled scores of students to acquire and refine the skills needed in today’s dynamic text and publishing environment. Many of our graduates currently apply the tools and the experience they gained in our program as staff or freelance editors.

This summer will mark the publication of the third edition of The 21st Century Text, an academic e-journal dealing with text preparation and global English. Available online to readers worldwide, the journal is edited and digitally published by the faculty and students of the program. The 21^st Century Text provides course participants with a varied, hands-on studio experience in advance of their graduation and entry into the job market.

The Text and Publishing studies program at David Yellin Academic College of Education will begin accepting applications from qualified candidates for admission to the 2013-14 class in February 2013. Individuals interested in writing, editing, and publishing and who seek to deepen their knowledge and sharpen their skills in these areas are cordially invited to apply.
